My students are busy wrapping up this school year. It is difficult for students and teachers to stay on task. Each day, I have been photographing my student’s plant grow projects. The reason I have been doing the photography myself is because many of my students are attending math and/or reading remediation. After uploading this image to our classroom Flickr account, I received a comment from a Flickr user. It was a nice comment.

Brassica rapa project

I learned something this week- don’t conduct a laboratory activity during EOG/EOC review time! Students are not in a pattern.plant project Our schedule changes so students needing extra time in math or reading can have their needs met. EOC exams are the last week of school for our high school students. In our small alternative school we have elementary, middle and high school students.

That is grades 5-12. Talk about a challenge- scheduling all the testing and meeting all the modifications. Every classroom and all our personnel will be testing our 5-8 graders. I am still not sure if our high school students will have any supervision while the rest of us administer all these TESTS!
