Science Blogger Conference- Chapel Hill, NC

16 01 2007

The North Carolina Science Blogging Conference1, Saturday, January 20, 2007. This is a free, open and public event for scientists, educators, students, journalists, bloggers and anyone interested in discussing science communication, education and literacy on the Web.  This looks like a nice idea.  Not many high school teachers have signed up, but I am sure some will just drop in Saturday.  I really enjoyed PodcasterCon last year.  It seems that many of the same names have already signed up to attend.  I was see familiar names like Cathy Davies, Dr. Jean-Claude Bradley, David Warlick, and Paul Jones from blogs I read have signed up.  I see most of the news media, including Ed Cone, Adnaan Wasey, Boris Harti, and many more.  With so many folks from higher education, I may be waiting my time attending this conference.  However, as a classroom science teacher, it is important to hear what colleges and businesses are saying about blogging.
