Great New Feature on Google Video for Teachers
22 07 2006Wow, this is really cool. Thanks to Tim Lauer’s blog post, I learned how to link to a specific section on a video posted on Google Video. Now, when I post a student’s video clip on the web, and I want to assess the work, for example point out in a rubric that the title has grammar errors, or the video lacked three scenes or whatever, then I can link directly to that part of the video. Man, this is too cool.
Link to a Specific Section of a Video on Google Video

Google Video
has a nice feature that allows you to link to a specific section of
video stored on their system. For example the links below are to a
video clip I posted a few weeks ago. By appending #0m36s
to the video URL I can jump right to the section that begins 36 seconds
from the start. I haven’t been able to figure out if you can configure
the URL so that a clip begins at a certain time and ends at a certain
time.
