PodcasterCon

Chapel Hill, Saturday, Jan. 7th, hundreds of folks from across the nation are planning to attend the second annual PodcasterCon. There will discussions of the role of podcasts in education, news media, entertainment, and more. Last year, I forgot about the conference until the morning it was scheduled to take place. So, instead of driving 3 hours one way to sit in a classroom and listen to people I have never heard of before was not too exciting. However, I listened to the live stream from podcastercon I. Over the year, I have listened to several of the presentors at this year’s conference on my iPod. I even know the names of several that are just planning to be in attendance. Steve Dembo of Teach42 and David Warlick are going to be there. David is a on the schedule to discuss educational issues with the attendees. I hope to participate in that session. The thing that I noticed about last years event was that listening to the streaming, it was not just a sit and get. It was a more of a forum. I need to finish listening to “the world is flat”.
